Associate Prof. Marek Matejun, PhD

Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy, Faculty of Management, University of Lodz, Poland

Topic: Challenges and Perspectives for the Development of the Management Sciences Subdisciplinarity



Marek Matejun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz, Poland. He received his PhD in 2006 and D.Sc. (Habilitation) In 2016, both scientific degrees in management sciences. His research interests focus on entrepreneurship and small business management, modern concepts and methods of management, strategic management as well as research methodology in management sciences. He specialises in the exploration and exploitation of entrepreneurial opportunities in small business development, in taking up business activity and in entrepreneurial education. He is the author or co-author of over 190 scientific publications. He has participated in many Polish and international research projects and also in research visits at universities in Finland (2019), China (2017), the United Kingdom (2016), Belgium (2013) and the Czech Republic (2013). Currently, he is supervising the research project “Green human resources management and environmental performance of enterprises: Mediation analysis in a multi-level approach” financed by the National Science Centre (Poland). He is editor-in-chief of the PEOPLE: International Journal of Social Sciences (India) and an associate editor in the World Journal of Management (Australia), University Scientific Notes (Ukraine) and Journal of Economics & Management (Poland). He closely cooperates with Eurasia Research and holds the position of President of the Social Science and Humanities Research Association (India). He is also a member of the Academy of Management (USA), the European Association of Methodology (Germany) and the Polish Economic Society (Poland). He gave many keynote speeches at international conferences, e.g. in Athens, Singapore (2022), Paris (2021, 2017), Tokyo (2020), London (2020, 2019), Prague (2019) and Venice (2019). For his research activity, he has earned many Polish and international scientific awards.
